Win by eliminating letters.
LimiLetter is a free daily word-ranking puzzle. Every word is visible, including the target. Your job is to eliminate every decoy without choosing a letter that the target needs.

- SEARCH — eliminated by H
- PLANET — target
- ONLINE — still in play
Choosing H removes SEARCH and keeps PLANET safe. Choosing N would remove ONLINE, but it would also hit the target, so N is blocked.
What is a LIMI?
A LIMI is one accepted letter elimination. Choosing a letter removes every remaining decoy that contains it, so a strong LIMI can clear several words at once. A safe letter that removes no new decoys still uses a LIMI.
Why are some keyboard letters blocked?
Letters used by the blue target are protected. Their keys are dimmed and marked with a blue dot because selecting one would eliminate the word you are trying to save. A letter you already used is crossed out and cannot be selected again. During the guided tutorial, unused letters may also pause temporarily so the requested example key is easy to find; in a normal puzzle, every safe, unused letter is available.
What does MAX mean?
- MAX is the hard limit. You may use up to that many LIMIs. If the final allowed LIMI clears the last decoy, you win; if it does not, the puzzle ends.
- The LIMI counter shows letters used over the maximum allowed—for example, 1/4 means one LIMI used and three remain.
How points work
Every keyboard letter has a value from 10 to 50. A move’s award is based on its letter value, the number of newly eliminated decoys, and the puzzle multiplier. Each decoy scores only once, for the first selected letter that removes it.
How LimiLetter differs from Wordle and Hangman
Wordle asks you to discover a hidden word by making word guesses. Traditional Hangman asks you to discover a hidden word one letter at a time. LimiLetter reverses that pattern: the target is visible from the start, and you remove letters to eliminate the words ranked above it.
What counts as a good move?
A strong LIMI removes several decoys without touching the target. You can solve by intuition, inspect shared letters, compare the highest-ranked remaining words, or look for one safe letter shared by several decoys.
Can an AI agent play?
Yes. Any remote agent that can make HTTPS requests can begin at GET /v1/agent/daily, start a server-managed game, and submit one versioned letter at a time. The opaque game ID cannot rewind or branch and expires after 48 hours. See the Agent Game API instructions and our first human-versus-agent comparison. On the main game page, browsers that support WebMCP also expose four commands backed by the same Rust/WebAssembly rules as human play: list_daily_limiletter_puzzles, start_daily_limiletter, eliminate_daily_letter, and read_daily_limiletter. Both agent modes show the visible target and leaders and do not change a person’s attempt, streak, or leaderboard record.
